It’s where you’ll find the latest from XtG – a rapper from Yorkshire who’s not afraid to speak his mind. Rap music blogs really don’t get much more blunt than this… #JustSaying
Fancy starring on XtG’s rap music blog or collaborating with him as an artist? Reach out.
There’s a good reason why I’ve started this blog. A reason that goes way beyond simply communicating with fans, although it is useful for that. You see, from what I’ve managed to fathom looking at the music industry, is that there isn’t really an option to dive inside an artists’ mind. Sure, there’s emotion and feeling in their music, a few blurry clips on Insta and in the odd interview they might share a personal story, but that’s your lot. And even then there’s things you can and cannot say.
For instance, if I wanted go on television discuss the psychology behind a strong mindset or voice my opinion on a recent event, I’d not only have to secure airtime, but I’d also only have maybe five minutes in which to do so. Much the same applies with radio. Then of course if I was to go live over social no doubt half of you would be too busy with life to tune in. Whereas with a blog, I needn’t worry about any of that!
I can voice my opinion be it long or short, you can stay up to date when it’s convenient and get to know me as a rapper in greater depth. It might sound a bit corny, but I don’t just want you to relate to my music – I want you to relate to me.

That depends.
Much like my music I prefer to keep any uploads to my rap music blog spontaneous, as that’s the way I write them. Some weeks I might do a couple of posts, whereas other weeks it could be slightly less. And in the case I haven’t uploaded for a while, don’t assume that I’m slacking off. If anything it’s a sign I’m absorbed in a new project, so it’s actually a pretty good reason to stick around.
Well, as this is a rap music blog, there’s no prizes for guessing this. Although, to say rap music is my favourite blog topic would be pretty inaccurate.
The way I see it, rap and indeed music, are actually rather broad subjects that stem way beyond your talk of melodies and beats (producers, bear with me). While both are indeed major components of Hip Hop and will feature in this blog, there’s SO much more to discuss. I’m talking about things like the psychological affects of music. Perhaps how it’s interpreted. Or the mindset required to ‘be someone’ in the music industry. Basically relatable topics that you don’t need an expert knowledge of Logic Pro to understand – that’s what I enjoy writing about… most of the time.
